Exhibit curated by Memphis art consultant Anna Wunderlich
April 26- May 10 2016
Reception Friday April 29, 5-8pm
Charleston, SC (January 27, 2016)—The George Gallery is honored to exhibit “Broad Spaces,” works of two of Memphis’ most outstanding artists, curated by Memphis art consultant, Anna Wunderlich. Wunderlich will be introducing painter Betsy Brackin and photographer Catherine Erb to Charleston. The exhibition will be on view at The George from April 26- May 10.
Both artists find their subject matter in nature. While curating this collection, Anna Wunderlich was inspired by the common connection she found in the actual landscapes of both Memphis and Charleston. Both cities are geographically located in areas of expansive and uninterrupted horizons. This body of work explores the translation of nature onto canvas and paper, in expressions and studies of earth and sky that will feel both new and intimately familiar.
Anna Wunderlich is an art consultant living in Memphis, TN. She works with individuals and commercial clients to build their fine art collections. She is a 2000 College of Charleston graduate earning degrees in Studio Art, Art History, and Arts Management.
We invite the public to join us and meet the artists and the curator, who will be at the Gallery on Friday April 29, 5-8pm.
