Step inside Atrium Art Gallery in the heart of historic downtown Charleston this month for a breath of fresh sea air as an exhibit of Ruth Hamill's "At the Shore" paintings transports you to the shore.  The gallery, known for its exciting art space filled with contemporary and abstract paintings, is the perfect Charleston spot for Ruth Hamill's stunning work, which takes you right to the water's edge. The artist uses the traditional materials of oil and encaustic paint in new ways to create paintings unlike any others, with the movement, translucency, light and transient color of the shore.  This is Hamill's second exhibit in Charleston and last year's showing at Atrium Art Gallery nearly sold out.
