The Charleston Artist Guild Gallery is pleased to present Paris: “The City of Lights”, an exhibition featuring a collection of photography by Cyndi Schick. Black and white photography is timeless and ageless. Paris is one of the most loved cities in the world. Cyndi has captured Paris’s gleaming bridges, monuments, sculptures, fountains, boulevards, and churches as enduring and elegant classics.
Cyndi Schick is a fine art photographer. Her artwork is showcased in private residential collections as well as corporate offices, banks and select hotels in the United States, France, Puerto Rico, Canada, and Australia.
Cyndi studied art in college and after graduating, became a commercial photographer. Then she moved to Paris, France, and studied painting, photography and art history while living abroad for several years.
Using both film and digital photography, Cyndi consciously removes any color distraction from her subjects. This allows the viewer to focus on shapes, patterns, compositions, and emotions. Her work fits virtually any interior design style. From a rustic farmhouse kitchen to a chic, urban bedroom, black & white photography beautifies its space. Each photograph is perfect by itself or hung in a grouping of several photographs.
Please join us for the opening reception of Paris: “The City of Lights” at the Charleston Artist Guild Gallery on Friday, September 1, 2023, from 5 - 8 P.M. at 160 East Bay Street in Charleston, SC. The gallery is open daily from 11 A.M. to 5 P.M. Please contact the gallery at 843.722.2425 with any inquiries.
