The Charleston Artist Guild Gallery is pleased to present Sneak Peaks, an exhibition by Robert Maniscalco, featuring drawings and paintings in multiple genres with a focus on portraiture.
Robert Maniscalco was born in Detroit and has been a professional creative his entire adult life. He has lived in New York, New Orleans and in Charleston for the last 18 years. His commission portraits and fine art are part of over a thousand collections throughout North America. In Detroit he hosted Artbeat on PBS and founded the Maniscalco Gallery. Perhaps his most enduring series is that of a commission portrait artist, immortalizing Supreme Court Justices, leaders in industry, as well as children and families.
After 45 years, Robert is at a point in his career where he is mapping out his legacy; his work is becoming deeper and more ambitious. A sneak peak of his portrait of former Mayor Joe Riley will also be previewed on days when he is in the gallery, March 1, 9, 17 and 21. He will be available to meet guests at the gallery by appointment throughout the month of March. For more information on Robert Maniscalco, visit his website www.maniscalcogallery.com.
Please join us for the opening reception of Sneak Peaks, at the Charleston Artist Guild Gallery on Friday, March 1, 2024, from 5 - 8 P.M. at 160 East Bay Street in Charleston, SC.
