ABOUT THE CGA

As a collective of over 40 esteemed fine art galleries in Charleston, South Carolina, we are dedicated to promoting Charleston's esteemed status as a global Art Destination. Our member galleries proudly showcase a wide range of artistic styles and mediums, including realism, contemporary, abstract, landscape, and Lowcountry, in original paintings, jewelry, photography, and sculpture.

The CGA emerged from the esteemed French Quarter Gallery Association, which has been a vital force in cultivating artistic appreciation for over two decades, encompassing more than 25 galleries. Today, our all-inclusive group encompasses the broader Charleston area, with over 40 active art galleries and a growing number of member galleries joining us each year. Reflecting the vibrancy of Charleston's art community, our purpose is to provide unwavering support to all visual art galleries and enhance recognition of Charleston as an exceptional "Art Destination."

At the core of our mission, the Charleston Gallery Association (CGA) is dedicated to wholeheartedly supporting and nurturing the abundant diversity found within the fine art galleries of our community. We passionately foster community engagement through an array of carefully curated events, including captivating ArtWalks and enchanting banquets, all meticulously designed to create meaningful opportunities for genuine interactions and valuable connections. By nurturing a sense of togetherness and shared appreciation for the arts, we help cultivate a vibrant atmosphere that celebrates artistic expression and fosters a deep connection between artists, galleries, and art enthusiasts alike.
