Opening for Bette Mueller-Roemer
"Happiness in the accident" or raku is a style of firing pottery with origins that stem from sixteenth century Japan. Various atmospheric effects in the glaze are achieved by rapid firing and cooling: from delicate patterns of glaze crackle to the shimmer of copper luster.
